Statement of Faith
We believe:
1. In one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who is the creator of the heavens and earth.
(Genesis 1:1, 2:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 37, 38; Ephesians 4:4-6)
2. In Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, death, resurrection, ascension and coming again.
(Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 4:15; John 11:25; Revelation 19:11-16)
3. In the Holy Spirit, who indwells the Christian and enabled them to live a godly life.
(John 14:16-17, 16:7-11; Ephesians 4:30; I Corinthians 3:16)
4. In the old and new testaments as the Word of God, written by God’s inspiration, without errors as originally given and the authority in faith and practice.
(II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21)
5. Men and women were originally created in the image and likeness of God, are born sinful by nature, saved only by the blood of Jesus and regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23-24; John 3:16-19; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:4-7)
6. Marriage is a biblical institution established by God, defined as an exclusive union between one man and one woman in a lifetime covenant.
(Gen. 2:21-24; Matt. 19:4-6)
7. The Church is the Body of Christ and consists of all who believe in Jesus as the Son of God, His atoning death, resurrection, ascension and coming again.
(I Corinthians 12:12-13, 27; Galatians 3:26-28)
8. In the bodily resurrection of all to a final judgement.
(John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:6)
